missingWrote a review on Dec 29unique cozy
The rustic house really exceeded my expectations, the cozy, vintage vibe making it feel like home. Plus, the flip flops they provided for walking around the house? Thoughtful touch.
Wasn't exactly a bargain, but still acceptable for what we got.

Super cozy atmosphere with vintage decorations made it feel like home. The shared bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. The equipped kitchen was a lifesaver. Plus, they had quirky flip flops for walking around. Only 30 minutes from Yosemite's entrance, so nice location!

would definitely return
The common kitchen was super well-equipped, making it easy to cook. The bathrooms were comfortable and clean. I loved the warm, clean linens and the private power shelf at each bed. Plus, the beds were comfy enough for a good night’s sleep after hiking. Location is perfect for Yosemite visits.

The best part of my stay was hitting up Kevin and Randi's for mouthwatering meats—those BBQ ribs were unreal! Plus, meeting fellow travelers felt like a family reunion. The shared kitchen made whipping up a late-night snack super easy.
The shared bathroom could have used a bit more TLC—typical hostel vibe.

Staying here with our grown kids was a blast! We enjoyed the breathtaking views from Olmsted Point and made some unforgettable memories hiking. The granite formations were stunning, and the proximity to Yosemite made it all the more special.
My kids wished there were more family-friendly activities available. It would be great to have some organized events for families.

The rustic decor gave the place a cozy vibe that felt like home. I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen for meal prep and the clean bathrooms, which, although could use a bit more privacy, were still well-maintained. The location was great for accessing Yosemite Park, making it a perfect spot for our short stay.

The stay was cozy and felt homey with its rustic decor. The common kitchen was well-equipped, which was perfect for preparing our meals since we are vegans. Although the bathroom facilities were a bit limited for the number of guests, we appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the space.

The dorm room was pretty comfy. Beds had their own power outlets and storage, which was a nice touch. Everything was super clean, and the place felt really quiet at night. Just a basic hostel vibe, but the linens were warm. Not a lot of privacy in the shared bathroom, though—felt a bit cramped at times. But the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to whip up meals with other travelers. Overall, a solid stay!

great access to parks and local eateries within walking distance
During my recent stay, I loved how close I was to Mary Laveroni Community Park, just a short walk away, and I enjoyed exploring the charming local shops and eateries, like Iron Door Saloon, nearby, making it easy to grab a bite after a day of adventures.

missingWrote a review on Jul 15rustic decorwell-equipped kitchenbathroom access
The rustic decor adds a cozy touch, making the space feel inviting. A well-equipped kitchen allows for easy meal prep, which is nice for budget travelers.
Only one bathroom for each building accommodating more than 14 people feels insufficient, often leading to inconvenient waits. The lack of lockers for personal items is concerning for security, and I found the outside shared space limited to just three tables for over 30 people, which made gatherings a bit chaotic. Also, the street noise from the nearby road can disrupt your peace, especially at night.

would definitely come back there
Beds are comfy enough, and the checkout via keybox is super quick. Each building has a small kitchen to cook meals. The shared bathrooms are decent, though a bit tight when there's a lot of people. The vibe here is chill, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. Close to some good food joints too.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
